TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —I think it would be a good idea if the Yacht Club Committee set apart the proceeds of the promenade concert towards an enticing prize for the firsfc-dJass yachts, in order that it might induce" some outside yachts to compete. If we get yachts from other harbours bo compete here, it will induce the public to take ! a greater interest in this pleasant pastime.—. I am, &c, January 25. Enthusiast.
— The oyster is one of the strongest creatures on the face of the earth ; the force required to open an oyster is nioie than 1300 times its weight.
