WELLINGTON HARBOUR BOARD.
Wellington, January 17. The Harbour Board's operations for the last year show that the profits have been £1414. The tonnage arrived was 1,02b',008 tons. The receipts from the harbourmaster's department were £SOSS. The cargo handled inwards and for transhipment was 173,026 tons, and the exports, foreign and coastal, amounted to 47,71)7 tons. Compared with previous years there was an increase in all branches except hemp, which shows a decrease of 25,827 bales.
A woman named Theresa Hend was found dead in a house in Cook street, Auckland. The jury brought in» verdict of " Death from habitual drunkenness."
