Should tUe waatber prove favourable a short sea trip has strong attractions, and an excursion by the ntcamer Invereargill to the Mauri Kaik and Waikouaiti may be expected to be well patronised, fis also the excursion to Taieri Mouth. In town the ordinary tram service will bs observed in the afternoon, so that after the Christmas dinner is dispossd of there will be abnndant chances of taking a run to oae or other of the favoured apots in the vicinity of Dunedin. In. the afternoon, also, a cricket match will be played on tha Caledonian ground be'oweea the Oamaru and Albion Clubs. Abtendancs at a tacred concerb is surely an approprisiio way of winding up a Christmas Day, scd both in the Garrison Hall and ia the City Hall ench concerts will be held this evening afc populae prices.
