ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Christchuhch, April 27.
At the inquest on the man who committed auicide at Sydenham a few days ago the coroner ordered a bottle of brandy found near the body to bo submitted to analysis. Professor Bickerton has reported to the police that lie found the brandy free from adulteration.
A child named Victoria Troadec, whose parents reside in Athol pUco, was received into the hospital last evening suffering from severe burns. The mother had placed a tin of hot ashes in the yard, and tho child by some means got into the tin aud wus badly burned. Very little hope is entertained of the child's recovery.
