CITY POLICE COURT.
Tuesday, February 20. (Before Messrs G. Fenwick and G. P. Farnuhar, .- J.Fs.) Drunkenness.—Margaret Cottrell, alias Millar, was fined ss, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. Allowino Horses to Wander,—Henry Gore was charged with allowing a horse to wander in Cumberland street on February 16.—Defendant pleaded not guilty, and after somewhat lengthy evidence the case was dismissed. For allowing a horse to wander in Clyde street, Win. Halliday was lined Is and costs. Prohibition Order —Herbert Power applied for a prohibition order against his father, Fierce Power, on tho usual grounds.—Defendant contested the application.—After hearing the evidence of the three sons, and also that of the defendant himself, the Bench said that they had no alternative but to grant the order, which was accordingly done.
