DISASTROUS HURRICANE.

Further details concerning the hurricane in tho Eoebourue district show that nearly all» the loggers were driven ashore, many of them, being completely wrecked. The tram line Buffered so seriously that it will take three months to repair damages. Traffic in tho district is entirely suspended, bridges being impassable. The station holders suffered severely. Woodbrook homestead was destroyed and a Chinaman drowned, the rest of the occupants having narrow escapes. Sherrock station is completely ruined. All the buildings thereon were swept away, and tho residentp, including the women, had to fly to the hill*, wading np to their waists in water. Twenty-six inches of rain fell at Croydon and 30 inches at Woodbrook.
