' The monthly meeting of the D.J.0., held last night, was attended by-Messrs Gourley (in the chair), Meenan, Hazlett, Taggarfc, Miller Thomson, and Fleming. " ■• \ ' A^letter was received from thePalmerston Jockey Club, stating-that they had received conditional scratchings for their postponed race meeting, andjasking the D.J.C. if they could advise them if they were acting according to the rales. - Besolved—" That the letter be referred back to the Palmerston Club informing them that-they are in a better position to decide, as it is a;matter for their own stewards, who are in possession of all the facts." * ■ An application was received from the Mandeville Club asking that ; the following be placed on' the unpaid list for fees unpaid at their last meeting:—E. White, £210s, Revenge; Harper, 10s,'for Jack.—Resolved^-" That the names be put on the forfeit list.":;A letter froni; the Cromtveil Tradesmen's RacirigClub was/received asking the endorsement of their disqualification of the mare Lorna Doone; also a letter from Mr Josiah Darling;on (under whose care the mare, was) asking that the disqualification be not endorsed until further inquiry was made.—lt was decided that the Cromwell Club be informed there is nothing in the correspondence to warrant the Dunedin Jockey Club in endorsing the disqualification.
