SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST MISSIONARIES.

The American mission schooner Pitcairn, Captain J; Christiansen, cruising under the Seventh Day Adveutist Church, United States, has arrived from Longaise, in the South Seas, and will remain here some weeks. Captain Marth, the former commander of the Pitcairn, died in Auckland on the vessel's' last visit here, and lies buried in Purewai Cemetery. On this trip the mission brigantine has a tombstone on board, sent out specially from America to be erected over the late captain's grave. Of missionary workers Miss Ande9, of Ohio, was left at Pitcairn Island to take charge of the school work there. Mr E. C. Chapman and wife were left on Tahiti to assist Elder Reed in getting out publications in the Tahitian language, Mr Chapman beiog a ptinter. Elder B. J. Cady and wife were located on Raiatea. Elder J. W. C. Cole and wife and Miss M'Coy have been left at Norfolk Island. Dr Kellogi has been sent out as a medical missionary to render medical and surgical assistance when needed among the natives' at the various islands at which the ship should touch. From Rarotonga fcho Pitoairn sailed to Nine (Savage Island), where a week was spent among the natives by the missionaries. Ske also called at Fiji.
