Wellington, June 11. There ere 20 candidates for the nexl Trinity College musical examinations.
Judgment was given in the Supreme Court yesterday in the long-standing case of the Colonial Bank v. T. K. Macdonald and wife. The Chief Justice said the transactions between Mr and Mia Macdonald could not stand before the court, and plaintiffs were entitled to satisfaetioa of their claim. Judgment would be for the bank on all the points. It is fstat;d the Union Company have sold the steamer Kanieri, of 220 tons, formerly in the Wellington - Blenheim trade, to the Northern Steamship Company, of Auckland. The price is not stated, but it is understood the company take possession next month.

About 50 miners are leaving for Westport, owing to the flooding of the lower level of the Coal Pit Heath mine.
The coal export for the week was 2924 tons, and the export of timber 124,394 ft.
