CAVERSUAM BOROUGR COUNCIL.

*»> The ordinary meeting of the Caversham Sorough Council, held last evening, was attended y the Mayor (Mr R. The AVorks and Baths Committee's report, -Inch recommended the council to procure OOOgal of tar, was adopted. The Inspector reported (1) that it would take )me 150 yds of metal to repair the Main south )ad from Blackwood's to Look-out Point; (2) he iggested that the footpaths in Brunswick terrace c asphalted 3ft wide, at Ll per chain ; (3) the mgth of footpaths in the borough requiring to be mded was about Jioo chains. — Clause 1 was :lopted ; consideration of the second clause was ostponed; while the third clause was referred to ie Works Committee to act. Mr P. Bassett wrote asking the reason why his iiidor for the removal of night soil was* not ■cepted, it having been the lowest.—lt was de* ded to inform Jlr Bassett that the council did it consider his tender the most eligible. Mr Sidney Thomson, cab driver, having writteu nnplainiug of the tram rails, it was decided to rite to the tramway authorities on the matter MrC. Fisher complained of the bad smell arising om the cattle stop at the Kensington railway ossiug.-It was resolved to write to the railway ithorities on the matter. It was decided to.ask the St. Kilda Couucil to pair the box dram in the Forbury road at St air.
