The Carisbrook Lawn Tennis Club's tournament will be played to-day, commencing at 10.30 a.m., weather permitting. Should the courts not be playable, notice of same will be posted on the club's notice board—Hopkin's corner, Stafford street.

With 9.2 up Lady Zetland also won the Brunner Handicap, paying L 2 13s, Maid of the Valley and Harkaway supplying the others placed. The Ace won the Hurdle race, beating Clarice and Mayboy, and paying L 9 7s. Maid of the Valley secured the Consolation.

Last night Michael Powley and Robert Fisher met at the Universal Hotel, Maclaggan street, and arranged to wrestle for L 25 a-side and the light-weight championship of New Zealand. The principal conditions of the match are that the competitors wrestle in three different styles—viz., Cumberland, Caledonian catch-as-catch-can, and Cornish, he who obtains two out of three falls in each style to be declared the winner. Both men staked their money, and it was decided that the match should take place at the City Hall on this night week.
