We have to inform intending Visitors to the Hot Lakes District that our HOTELS AT OKOROIRE AND WHAKAREWAREWA ARE BOYCOTTED by Messrs Thomas Cook and Son, and it would therefore be desirable to refrain from fixing forward arrangements in connection with visits to the Rotorua District until A'isitors can obtain accurate information in Auckland as to the UNRIVALLED POSITION Of both these Properties, and their SUPERIOR ACCOMMODATION, CUISINE, Ac. We resented the monopoly sought after by Messrs Cook and Son, and ventured to oppose the Coaching Business of their friend, Mr W. K. Carter, by starting a well-appointed COACH PLANT OF OUR OWN, And, moreover, had the presumption to give some of our support to Messrs Hayr and Co., the rival tourist agents. For this independence we have been met by a notice that the eminent firm's Coupons will not be honoured if presented by us. Tourists will therefore have little difficulty in seeing that their PLEASURE AND INTEREST Is entirely subservient to the ADVANTAGE OF MESSRS COOK & SON, If they can succeed by their Boycott of our Hotels and Coach Line in securing a MONOPOLY OF THE TOURIST TRADE.
