OTAGO LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the committee of the above association was held on Tuesday evening at the secretary's Office, Rattray street, and attended byMessrs James A. Park (in the chair), Hugh MacNeil, jun., Webster, Crump, and A. J. Park (secretary). Mr Allan Holmes wrote accepting the office of referee. Mr Dalziel resigned from the General and Selection Committees, owing to his leaving Dunedin for Palmerston South. The secretary was requested to write accepting Mr -Dalziel s resignation with regret, and conveying the committee's appreciation of his many services m support of tennis. Mr Allan Holmes was elected to the vacancy on the Selection Committee. The secretary stated that he had managed to secure. Slazenger tennis balls for the tournament as directed. Consideration of playing interclub matches at handicaps and of recommending clubs to play status tournaments was postponed till next meeting. The secretary reported that the Cycling Club had fixed on the 20th inst. for their sports, and had secured the ground many weeks ago. After a long discussion it was resolved that the secretary and Mr Crump should see the Cycling Club committee, and, if the latter so requested, that the tennis tournament should be postponed to Saturday, sth March. The Cycling Club committee were, waited on the same evening, and the deputation was cordially received.
