SIJION BROTHERS George street (Near Octagon) Publications. THE THIRTEENTH SPECIAL CHRISTMAS NUMBER OF THE [^OTAGoT WITNESS ] AA'ill be Published in time for delivery before CHRISTMAS DAY, 1891, And will comprise, as is customary, ORIGINAL MATTER FROJI BEGINNING TO END, A claim which can be made by no other New Zealand weekly. The Christmas Number of the AA'itness has become a household word throughout the Colony, and it is acknowledged by all to be unequalled by any of its contemporaries. Jlany of the writers have contributed to its columns ever since a special number was issued, and their tales and sketches are looked for yearly by an ever-increas-ing number of readers—an evidence of the appreciation with which their contributions are received by the reading public. This year's number will be fully up to its predecessors, as a glance at its contents will show. The leading tale is from the pen of Jlrs James Suisted, of AA*e3tport, who this year throws aside her norn de plume of L. J. S., and replaces it with her own name. Lengthy tales are also contributed by "Fabian Bell," E. Hudson, "Alice," and otlier favourite writers, particulars of which will be found appended. The tales are varied by many original sketches, original poetry, <lc, and as fully A HUNDRED AND TWENTY COLUMNS will be taken up with this class of literature alone the reader may form some idea of the marvellous sixpennyworth which is placed before the public.
