After examination of arms and accoutrements the corps was put through various movements, including shelter trench exercise and signalling, and at the conclusion Colonel Webb complimented the men upon their creditable appearance and the clean state of their arms, Ac, and expressed himself highly pleased with the modelling of field works prepared in the company's workroom.
The members of the B Battery N.Z.R.A.V. held a smoke concert at the Shamrock Hotel ou Wednesday evening, when upwards of 40 gentlemen were present. A good programme of songs and instrumental solos was gone through, interspersed with several recitations, and it was quite evident the efforts of the performers were agreeable to_ the audience, as encores were frequently insisted upon, This is the second entertainment given by the battery this winter, and it was evidently even a more pronounced success than the preceding one. The third and last concert will probably be held towaids the oloae of next month,
