Sic, —Last Sunday morning the s.s. Napier steamed up to the Owake wharf, and after discharging her cargo took iv more and left the same day. Can it be possible that the owners of the said vessel went reverently to church that day—some of them 6ven elders—knowing that they were openly violating God's law and opening the way to scoffers to point the finger of scorn at religion. Let us hope that the owners were ignorant of the fact, and that the master of the vessel will receive a just rebuke that will cause him in future to remembir tho Sabbath day.—lam, &c,
