The amount at the oredlt of members' shares with the addition fo the dividend, now stands at £51,671 Us sd. The advances applied for during the year amounted to 43275, and the sum allotted was £5350. The properties In the hands of the society are credited in the books as being worth £9169 lls lOd; but there has to be deducted from this amount a sum of £1100 17a 2d, whloh represents the value of properties sold, but not yet transferred. This reduces the amount represented by property In hand to £8088 14s Bd, and thera Is now an accumulation of £1055 0s 0d of reserve fund, there is ample provision to meet any contingent loss in the realisation of these properties. Mr J. W. Bain was unanimously re-elected president.

IMPORTANT SALE OF STORE SHEEP. Messrs Wbisht, Stbphenson, and Co. report as follows :—" At Gore on Tuesday lait, in conjunction With Mr Thomas Green, we offured about 8000 li'plendid sheep—admittedly about the best that have been submitted to public competition this season, notwithstanding that the weather was very inclement, there wain great concourse of buyers, nnd all thlngi considereda very fair sale resulted. Fourtooth halfbred wethers brought 12s i two-tooth halfbred wethera, 10s 4d j two-tooth croubred ewes, 10a 9d; aged orosßbred ewes, 8s to 9a; and full-mouthed merino wethers, in good condition, 6s to 5s 3d."
