Late letters, guard's van, North tratu, at 11 a.m. FWDAY, SePTEMBKB 26. For Southland, Australian Colonies (via Hobart), India, China, Japan, Continent of Burope, United Kingdom, &c, per Tarawera, at 1.50 p.m. Money orders (for Australian colonies only), regieregistered letters, and newspapers at 12.50 pm. \ Late letterß, guard's van, Port Chalmera train, at 2.30 p.m. Letters for the United Kingdom must be specially addreased and paid ls per $oz. Parcel post mail for the Australian .colonies (exiept New South Wales and Queensland) will cloae -.wo hours before the letter mail. Wednesday, October 1. DIRECT MAIL SEEVIOB. The direct steamer Tongariro will lea\-e Lyttelton for London, via Eio de Janeiro, on Thursday, 2nd Ootober. Mails for the United Kingdom, &o. will close at this office ou Wednesday, October 1, at 10 a.m. Late letters, guard's van North train, at 11 a.m. Parcels for the United Kingdom, &c, per Toneariro, will olose at this office oa Wednesday, October 1, at .9.30 am. Correspondence must be specially addressed. Due at destination ou 12th November. Fbiday, October 3. SAN FRANOISCO MAIL BEBVIOB. For Northern ports of New Zealand, the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, .umoa, Sandwich Islands, United States of America, Janada, South America, and West Indies, &c, at 10 a.m. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m., money ordera at 4 p.m. ou Thursday, 2Dd. Book packets aud newspapers at 9 a.m. on Friday, 3rd. Late lettera, bearing an additional single rate of postage as a lato fee (6d), can be posted in the guard'a i-an attached to the North train, leaving Dunedin Railway Btationat 11 am. on Friday, the 3rd. The above mail will oloae at the branch post office, Dunedin North, for money orderß at 4 p.m. and regiatered letters at 5 p.m. on the 2nd; letters at 9.30 a.m., and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 3rd. At the South Dunedin office, money orders at 4 p m., registered letters at 5 p.m, on the 2nd, and for letters and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 3rd. At the Port Ohalmers office at 5 a.m. on the 3rd, money orders at 4 p.m. and registered letters at 6 p.m. on the 2nd. The abovo mall will be due in London on 10th November.
