DONALD STRONACH & SON (in conjunction with Messrs REID, MACLEAN, & CO.) have been nstructed by the Trustees of the late Mr Adam Borthwick, to offer for salo by public auction, at the Crown Hotel, Balclutha, on the abovementioned date, The Carterhope Estate, comprising 6200 acres of superior agricultural land, which has been subdivided into 23 farms, ranging from 44 acres to 503 acres each. The whole estate (with the exception of the portions marked on the lithograph plan as being in English grass) is in its virgin state, and the small portions which have been cultivated have produced good crops of turnips, oats, and grass. The farms have been laid off with a due regard to the most suitable boundaries, and bo as to utilise the fences on the estate, and every farm has easy access to water. The Main South Trunk railway runs through the estate, and every farm : is within easy distance of either the Toiro, Warepa, or Kaihika Railway Stations.
