UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS.
TO THE KDITOIt. Sir,—ln the list of honours in the university examination just published, one cannot fail to be : atrack with Die different results obtained by Canterbury College and the Otago University. Nearly the whole of the Otago candidates get only third-class honours, whilst in the other classes the results are:—First class: Canterbury College, 5; Olago University, 1. Second-class: Canterbury College, 3 ; Otago University, 1. How and why is this ? Perhaps the chancellor will explain on Thursday evening.
