J Dbunkekkkss.—For this offence Ann M'Farlane, against whom thero were fivo previous convictions, was fined 20s, in default seven days' imprisonment. Bye-law Casks.—For allowing a cow to wander in the borough of Roslyn, Kate Jacksou was fined 5s without costs. Frank J >o kson, the son of the lastnamed defendant, was charged with unlawfully interfering with a cow which had been seized for the purpose of being impounded.—The Bench convicted the accused and discharged him with a caution. Vagrancy. — Three young girlß, named May Turner. J3ne Ferguson, and Jaue Findlay, were charged with having insufficient lawful means of support.—Mr Cook, who appeared for the accused, asked for a remand for a week, in order tbat his clients might have an opportunity of leaving the premises where they resided.—Sergeant-major Bevin stated tbat tho accused were living in a - right-of-way opposite the eo:ivent, and that thero were a great many complaints aboufc the way in which tlieir house was conducted, and also about the bad characters who frequented the placo.
