MR BBNZON'S BOOK.

A Birmingham paper gives a short sketch of the contents of the book shortly to be published by Messrs Trischler and Co., entitled " How I Lost £250,000 in Two Years," by Mr Ernest Benzon. The book will consist of 288 pages, crown octavo, and will be divided into sections, the first of which will deal very exhaustively with the period of Mr Benzon'e minority. Some sensational stories connected with his dealings with the Hebrew money-lending fraternity, and the methods adopted by them when plucking their birds, will be related. The next portion of the book is devoted to his Australian and New Zealand trips, which cost him no lees than £65,000. Tho manner in which he first became awarethathis fortunewas one of such magnitude, and the various emotions which passed through his breast on attaining his majority, will be related in a chapter entitled "Coming of Age." His racing and gambling experiences, together with tbe details of some of the largest sums of money lost and won, are to be told at length, .and an interesting account will be given of a visit to Monte Carlo. Some good advice is also given to those who fancy they can shoot pigeons, I aud they will be told how money may be lost, if

not won; and one of the features of the book is to be an account of the writer's dealings with a number of London tradesmen, whose introduction to publicity and fame is not likely to be much appreciated.
