(Received September 9, at 1.30 p.m.) The American barque Hesper, which arrived to-day from Puget Sound, reports that the barque Garston, bound from Sydney to San Francisco, has been wrecked at Starbuck Island. The chief officer and 20 of the crew reached Humphrey Island. The captain of the Hesper offered to bring 10 of the men on to Sydney, and waited 14 hours for that purpose, but the men apparently decided" not to separate. The captain and nine of the crew are missing. MURDERS BY NATIVES. William Dobell and two boys have been murdered by natives at the Solomon Islands. Dobell's brother was murdered recently.
