Ihe council could not take oi-er the township without that outlet to the Ande--son s Bay road, and were of opinion that the board should pay the cost of the transfer. The cauncll in a letter dated February 27, 1885, informed the board that they must be put in possession of the outlet. THE MAYOK'S SALARY. Or Lawless moved—"That this council affirms tfte desirability of discontinuing the mayor's salary after the expiration of the present year owing to the unsatisfactory state of the borough finances." Or JoSES seconded the motion. Or Coverlid moved an amendment to the effect that the motion be considered that day six months. This was carried, only Cr Jones dissenting. MOTION.
