MEETINGS AND ENTERTAINMENTS.

The lecond smoke concert—one of a series of winter ' entertainments organised by tho Otago High Sohool ] Old Boys' Club-was hold In St. Matthe«s'Schoolroom on Wednesday evening. About 70 members i were present, and in the absence of the president Mr Brent, one of the vice-presidents, ocoupled the ' chair. A programme to which etveral members of the ] Blub contributed was gone through. In the unavoidsble absence of the olub accompanist (Mr Bayley) ' Messrs West, Ooi, and Thomson acted, and Messrs ' Montgomery, Spedding, Jooi, Grant, Oarvosso I Bowler, and Bum sang; Messrs Siedeberg and Cox ;ave pianofortesolos, llr Milne contributed a humor- fi "i!
