[hy Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] (Fee Press Association.) THE AUSTRALIAN PRIMACY. Sydney, July 25. illeoalved July 28, at 3 a.m.) It is understood that a deadlock has arisen in connection with the appointment of a primate of Australia. The Anglican synod meets next month to take fresh action. In the meantime the ultra Protestant section are making efforts to remove the primacy away from New South Wales, and permit the bishops to elect one of their own number to act as primate. LAND LEGISLATION. The House of Assembly has passed the Land Bill. SPORTING. Cinaron has been scratched for the Hawkesbury Grand Handicap. ;, Melbourne, July 25.
