The conference, in addition to dealing with the question of the examination of high schools, has passed various resolutions, the gist of which is as follows;— Direct representation on the Senate of the University is wanted; uniformity in scholarship systems is affirmed; the consideration and unification of examinations are 'recommended'; teachers of junior scholarship candidates to be disqualified as examiners; holders of board school scholarships must attend properly-constituted secondary Echools. The ■Ofcago members are now Dr Belcher and Messrs ■Wilson, Brent, and Thomson, all of the High ■ School. The members leave on Thursday.
