Eureka.—The directors held a meeting tonight, when it was decided to resume operation* at once in the mine. Owing to the easterly underlie which the Welcome reef is now showing (70deg), it is believed that the lode will be reached by the Eureka within a -very short distance of their main level. The shares, which stood at 4s 6d on Friday, are now quoted at 7s. The town is very lively again to-night, the streets being crowded, and a buzz of excitement prevails on all sides. So far from the spurt showing signs of running itself out, it seems to gather fresh force almost daily, and many believe that we are only now at the beginning of tho revival. It is really surprising where all the money comes from to keep the pot boiling, but it is certain that business is quite as brisk aa it ever was during the great revival of 1880-81, when Dunedin money poured in so plentifully to the district. <■■...' ■ ■ •;
