SOUTH DUNEDIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
An ordinary meeting of the South Dunedin Borough Council, held last evening, was attended by tho Mayor (Mr W. Wardrop), Crs Chetwin, Cossens, Sullivan, Henderson, Marlow, Osborne, and Fiddes.
CORRESPONDENCE. - Mr T. R. Dodds wrote on behalf of Cr M'lntyre asking thnt he might be granted two months' leave of absence from the council.— The request was acceded to. Messrs Ritchie and Co., contractors for the Cargill road outlets, wrote applying for an extension of time for their contract.—lt was resolved that the time for completion of the contract be extended by 14 days. REPORTS. 1 The Pinance Committee recommended that £6013s 8d for municipal accounts, £532 15s 9A for water supply, and £64 8s 9d on account of ; loan bo passed for payment.—The report was adopted. The Works Committee recommended that an account from the Borough of Caversham be passed .for payment " without prejudice," and I that the clerk be instructed to draw the attention of the Caversham Council to a letter from the South Dunedin Council, dated March 11, 1884, on the subject of culverts across the Forbury road.—Referred back to the committee for further consideration.
