Diniedin, October 20,1886. Fire yoars ago I underwent an operatlou, since wliich I have never been clear of the doctors, and have gradually failed in health until I was quite unable to work. On Beeing the advertisement of Dr H.J. Speer in the paper I thought I would try hi.v; and I am happy to say that under his treatment I am mending rapidly, and can thoroughly recommend him as a straightforward, clever man. He has had hardly any sleep since March last, and has been a great source of auxioly. In six weeks Dr Speer has nearly cured him. I tried different remedies without any relief. I called on Dr Speer, Palmerston Buildings, foot of Queen street. He examined him, and said he would treat him. After taking his medicine one week I could see a change in him, and he is still keeping well. Wellington, lbth July 1888. I beg to state that for a long time I have been suffering from physical and nervous debility. Some five months ago, when Dr Speer was in Auokland, I wrete and placed myself under his treatment, and am now gratified to say I am perfectly cured and a sound, healthy man again. I cannot speak too highly of Dr Speer, as he has succeeded when otlier doctors failed, and that without even Bceing me until to-day, when I first |had the pleasure of Bpeaking to him* H. A Great Public Benefactor.—l say without hesitation, that the arrival of Dr H. J. Speer in New Zealand is a godsend. Tho man is a wonder as a physician. I called upon him a few weeks ago with the expectation that he would ask a lot of questions, as otlier doctors do, and, ln fact, I commenced to tell him how I felt. He held up his hand and said, " Stop I If I cannot givo you all the symptoms and tell you just how you feel without asking a question, I will not treat you." To my astonishment he located every pain, explained in detail how I felt better than I could myßelf. After months of agony, I am well to-day. Everything he did for me aotod like a charm.
