Mails olose at the Chief Poat Office, Duuedln (•nbjeot to any neceosary alterations), as under:

For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, overland, daily, at 8.45 a.m. Late letters, mail vno. North express train, at 8.10 a.ro.

This Day (Friday), May 21. For Westport direct per Orawaiti, at 4.20 p.m Saturday, May 22. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE.

For Northern ports of New Zealand, the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, Samoa,- Sandwich Islands, United States of America Canada, &c, at 5 a.m.

Registered correspondence at S p.m. on Friday 31st. ■

Book packets and newspapers at 9 p m on Friday, 21st. ' : Money orders at 4 p.m. on Friday, 21st. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage as a late fee, can be posted in the mail van attached to the North train leaving Dunedin railway station at 8.10 a.m. on the 22nd.

The above mail will close for newspapers at the branch post office, Albany street, at 9 p.m. on the 21st, money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters 6 p.m.; and for letters at 5 a.m. on 22nd. At the South Dunedin office for newspapers at 8 p.m., for money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 21st; and for letters at t a.m. on the 22nd. At the Port Chalmers office at 8 a.m. on the 22nd; money orders at i p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 2lit. The above mail will be due in London on June 30 For Akaroa, at 8.4-5 a.m.

Mails for Australian Colonies only, per Wakattpu, close at New Plymouth at 7 p.m."on Saturday 22nd Inßt.

The 2Jth inst. (Queen'B Birthday) being a post office holiday, all mails usually despatched on that day will be closed at 8 p.m. on" Saturday, 22nd inst. A delivery by letter carriers, &c. will be made at the counter of the Chief Post Office between the hours of 8 and 9 p.m. on.Saturday, 2^ud inst.
