CHRISTCHURCH TRAINING NOTES. (Per United Pjress Association.)

Christcuurch, April 19. The horses that are to take part in the C. J.C. Autumn meeting on Monday and Tuesday next are now taken out for training every morning. This morning the weather was beautifully mild and fine, and trainers took advantage accordingly. Mr Cutts' Maligner, Galatea, and July covered one round on the grass at a good three-quarter speed before daylight, and Sou'wester did about one mile and a-quarter over the plough track at a good strong half-pace. S. Higgot sent Patrician a couple of rounds on the plough—the first time steady and put steam sn for the second round, the little horse going rery free. D. O'Brien's Tasman covered a :ouple of rounds on the tan with light shoulder ■ugs on. Tasmania accompanied him on the last •ound at good speed. Trenton and Argonaut lid some slow work on the plough. Peter Jsbeckwas sent a couple of rounds over the mrdles, jumping in his usual style. Ray ;aye Thunderbolt, Winchester, and Torrent inly slow work. C. Rudings did steady work nth Marion, Beresford, Fair Nell, and Vinaigrette on the plough. Russley covered one mle in good form, Chantilly working on the ilough steady. H. Goodman sent Sweetbriar nd First Lord (late Fallacy colt) four miles on' he tan slow with the Sweaters on. Apropos overed five furlongs on the plough in good tyle. W. Milne did some long slow work with locket, Madonna, Mirella, and Conundrum the three former with the .sweaters on) ound the tan. H. Lunn's Kingask and nsh King did three rounds over the urdles, Kingask with Lyford both of tern jumping very free. Canard and Tressy leresent a couple of rounds on the grass at Bit speed. After breakfast Ray gave Disowned [ongwaist, and Vanguard a very fair sweat eon covered one mile and a-half at a good iree-quarter pace, Miss Lyle accompanying im half the jouraey.
