GROWN LANDS SALE

Mr R. B. Martin, Government auctioneer, held a sale of runs at the Land Office yesterday. There was a good attendance, and in some cases the bidding was very spirited and a considerable increase on the former rental was realised. The first two runs have been let. at £200, and yesterday they realised £320; and in the case of the Kyoburn runs, the increase in the rental of 20Gc is from £210 to £380, while 20Gf advanced from £200 to £400.

The following are details of the sale:—

Kirn 172.i, Lillburn, on the -Waiau, 10,000, five years' lease ; £100 upsefc rental.—The bidding fnr this was spirited, and it wns knocked down nt £230 to the N.Z.l'j. and M.A. Company for Mr Robert Tapper. ' . Kun 172 ii. 56^0 acres, five years' lease; £50 upset.— This was also"sold to Mr Tapper at £100.

Run 200 c. Kveburu, nc-.r Saseuy, 7.'i00 acres ; £170 upset.—After'some competition"tin's went to-Mr Scobie Mackenzie at £330.. .

Run 20tiir, (SHOO acres, live years' lease; £100 upset.—This was also closely bid foivbut Mr Mackenzie secured it at £500.
