LAND BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the Land Board was held yestorday. There were presentMessrs J. P. Maitland (chief commisaioner) Green, Clark, Duncan, and Bradßhaw. '
Mr J. A. Connell (on behalf of William JohnV requested tho Board to rescind their resolution of the 18th ult. forfeiting the license over section 10, block IV, Gimmerburn. He further applied to have the same capitalised.— Capitalisation was authorised, subject to the payment of rent in arrear.
WAITAHUNA, The Chairman of the Balmoral Road Board forwarded a plan of road-line in block IX, Waitahuna West, on which it was proposed to expend deferred-payment moneys.—Approved KOBIWAO. Mr A. C. Begg (on behalf of John Clarke) applied that section 10, block VI, Kuriwao, be put up for sale at 203 an acre.—Referred to'the Clutha County Council for a report as to whether there is any objection to application BUN 236 D. Mr D. Stronach (on behalf of Mr Fraser) applied for a reduction of the rent on run 236r>, Morven Hills, in consideration of his having purchased 320 acres of the said tun. —Proportionate reduction to be made. OTEPOPO. The Ranger for Otepopo hundred forwarded regulations and rules in connection with the hundred for approval and publication.—Approved. catlin's river. On the application of Mr Connell, Thomas Gilfillan's application to capitalise section 5, block 111, Catlins, was agreed to. CANCELLATION OF LICENSE 3. The Board considered a list of rents unpaid on deferred-payment lands at the present date. Ihe following persons had received notice tbat unless rents were paid their licenses would be forfeited, and the Board now
