Sib,—Referring to Mr M. W. Green's letter in your issue of yesterday, allow me to say that although I undoubtedly objected to the Graving Dock and other reserves at Port Chalmers being vested an the Harbour Board as at present constituted, there was never one word uttered by me which can fairly be construed a3 being personally disrespectful' or offensive to any member of the Board.—l am, &c, 'J.
