In the meantime the contractors will finish their section of the tunnel. Tho No. 2 Welcome, Occidental, homeward Bound and Specimen Hill Companies initiated this tunnel for their joint benefit, and havo contributed to its construction. The fou>stock, West Welcome, and tho Great Eastern Companies aro now joiumg in on equal terms, and it is probable that others will folThe old Fiery Cross tunnel, which is now used by the Welcome Company, caved in for a short distance on Monday night, and the output of quartz was stopped for nearly two days while repairs wore being effected.
