Arawata arrived 10.10 a.m. from Port Chalmers; sailed 5.30 p.m. for Wellington. Wellington—Hawea sailed 12 30 p.m. for Picton. Nelson—Wanaka arrived 5 am. from Taranaki; sailed 3 p.m. for Picton. Gisborne—Mahinapua sailed 4 p.m. for Napier. Auckland—Ringarooma sailed 2 p.m. for Gisborne. Russell—Manapouri arrived 7.30 a.m. from Auckland ; sailed for Sydney.

The barque Lohengrin commenced discharging cargo at the Railway Pier yesterday. The bri^aotine Eliza Firth, from Qreymoutb, arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday morning. She left the Grey on the 12th instant, with fresh northerly winds and rainy weather, and at 8 p.m. the wind veered round to the westward. She nasscd Cape I'arewell on the morning ol the 14th inst., and breaEted Stephen Island on the evening of the tame day; thence ahe had a fresh N.W. breeze, and passed Cape Campbell at 0 a.m. on the following day, and thenco encounter, d a strong southerly gale, which compelled her to run-back to Port Underwood. She lelt again at 8 p.m. with a light northerly breeze, which freshened to a gale at midnight, taking her vast Cape Campbell at 1 am. on the 10th; thence she encountered a fresh westerly gale with hcivy seas; the Kale h'ld in that quarter uutil the 18th, when she breasted Banks Peninsula, and encountered a furious s W (rale which compelled her to anchor under Lone Look-out Puint until the 23rd, wtieu she left attain with light variable and southerly winds, which shifted to the northward on the 24th, and brought her oft the Heads on the Svening of the 20th inst. She lelt Auckland on the 20th inst., called at Qisborne on the next day, Napier on tho 22nd, Wellington on the 23rd, and Lyttelton ou the 25th ; left again at 2.15 p.m. on the 20th, and arrived as above. She experienced moderate variable winda from Auckland to Napier, and thence encountered a strong S.S.B. gale, with a heavy sea, until arriving at Wellington ; during tho remainder of the passage she had light winds and fine weather.
