ANDERSON'S BAY.

The Presbyterian Church of Anderson's Bay held its annual social meeting last night. The Rev. Dr Stuart presided, owing to the absence of the Key. C. S. Ross, the minister, from ill" ness. There was a crowded attendance. The tea and cake were dispensed by the 3'oung ladies, assisted^by willing helpers of the other sex. me comfort and enjoyment of the meeting was enhanced by a large choir, under the leadership of Mr Fraser, the precentor. Mr Ivneen also assisted at.the hannoniuin. The reports of the Session and of the Sabbath-schools were read by Mr Somerville, anti the report of the Deacons' Court by MrKtzgerald. We learn that 25 names were added to the communion roll by examination, and five by certificates. There were no disjunctions by death or removal. The contributions to sustentation fund, missions, and other objects amounted to £GB7. The reports, however, contained wise exhortation to increased devotedness and liberality. . Suitable addresses were deliverprl by the Revs. A. G. Gillies and I Gr e L M.A. The Chairman, at the request of mem' bers of the congregation, presented a handsome gold albeit chain and appendages to Mr T bomerville on behalf of members of the church, in token of their appreciation of his many services especially in conducting the psalmody.
