TRAINING NOTES.

Good weather, but little work, was the order of things at the Forbury yesterday morning. The Poet and Hilda did light work on the beach, where several horses had walking exercise. On the course a start was made by Flora and Isaac, Svho did two rounds at three-quarter speed. • Dandy followed on a similar journey, and Clarence went fully three miles at a fair pace. Empress and Playboy covered two miles in company, both fully extended, but no more of the Cromwell contingent did any work except Mr Richardson's horse. Titania, went a mile or so in good style. Several of .Cotton's team were in work. Adamant and 'Carrigheen doing a long light sweat, while Goai and Brenda went two miles at a strong pace. Eugenic was treated to a couple of rounds, Boughleen Dhoun joining in' for the last half of the journey. Mr Cullen sent Quamby a strong gallop outside the hurdles, the steeplechaser going very fresh and well. King Quail, looking very well, was treated to a long canter, and this finished the work of importance. - Beacon.
