On the motion of Cr Jack, it was lesolved—" That tho Harbour Board bo asked to grant this borough the use of the small bay opposite the township of Maia, which is bounded by Bull Island and the bay, as a site for public baths, end that they be requested to deposit some sand in the bay from the punts." WORHS COMMITTEE. The Woiks Committee reported verbally, recommendiDg that repairs be effected to the i-ridge near Mr Fish'B property.—the report was adopted, MISCELLANEOUS. * The Mayor and Crs M'Nelll, Hutton, Jack, and Boon were appointed a committeo "to inquire into tbe covenant given to holders of property in Weßt Harbour, and to take such steps as are necessary to secure such covenant to the Council." John Winton sent in tho balance of hia account, amounting to £12, and stated that il it was not settled he would have to jtake other steps—The letter wai eceived.
