Washington-, August 17th. Thia morning's bulletin reports that President Gurlield is still in a very critical state, but his cage is not considered hopeless.
Calcutta, August 17 th.
Telegrams are to hand to-day from Afghanistan reporting that troops recently despatched by the Ameer to Khelat-i-Ghilzai, on the road between Oabul and Caudahar, have now evacuated that place. The object of the movement has not transpired.
