(Argus, August 10th.) Breadstuffa evince no improvement. There is Boircely nil inquiry for Hour, and at £10 10s, to which we confine our quotation, no sales have been advUed beyond actual wants. The probability is, however that purchasers will come forward and operate at the price. Wheat is linn at 5s Ucl, and at this figure one line of 500 bags was disposed of publicly, the other qualities offered realising 4s Sd to sa. Of the Bonden's shipment of wheat for Capetown in ye«tcrdav'B clearances, about 1200 bags only consist of Victorian • and of the Irene's shipment of 1200 bags of flour cleared at same time COO bags aio 2001b each, and 000 bags 501b each. In feeding grains, oats are moving off steadily at full rates. A parcel of 300 bags good feedin<* was sold privately at 3s id. Under the hammer however, very little was done; only a few small lots were cleared oil at 3j 2.U1 to 3a Gid. New Zealand oats were offered, but the greater portion was withdrawn. Victorian maltim; barley has been quitted privately at 3s 7d. At the auction sale of sugars this forenoon the bidding was good and improved rates were realised. 1079 pockets Mauritius and Queensland were disposed of. Medium white crystals were taken at £34; grey crystals at £33 to £33 20s ; fine grainy jellows at £32 15s • low yellows, £29 10s to £30 10s. Queensland low counters brought £23. Faulty sugars were sold £29 10s to £33 153, and the Irene's damaged was cleared off at £20 5b to £32 15s. The Barn's rargo has been noticed The importers have commenced selling privately, and 800 bags of this shipment have already been disposed of. Teas are only moving for trade purposes. Ca'nd'es continue to meet with favour. At auction ihis forenoon 1700 boxes were placed. One line of 1000 boxes D.K.O.'s brought BJd ; the remainder, according to condition and brand, sold at Sd to BJd, tha latter fi.-ure being paid for carriage sorts. °
