WsDNKSDAT, AtJOUST 17. Wellington—Taiaroa arrived 6 a.m. from Picton; vailed 2 p.m. for Lyttelton. New Plymouth—Hawea arrived 8 a.m. from Manukau ; sailed 11.30 a.m. for Nelson. Auckland—Penguin arrived morning from Gisborne ; sails for Russell. Sydney—Atawata arrived Tuesday from Russell.

Tho s.s. Beautiful Star, from the West Coast, via the: Bluff, arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday morning, Jjid passed up the harbour to Dunodin. The barquo Celestia sailed yesterday forenoon for Westpoit. Tho s.s. Kakanui left Port Chalmers yosterday ■morning for Invercargill. The ketch Palmerston, with a cargo of timber from Stewart's Island, arrived at Port Chalmds yesterday morning, and passed up to Dunedin.
