made his Financial Statement in the Legislative Assoinbly last night. Ho showed Uiat tha revenue during tho past financial year amounted to £2,000,000. Ho estimated the revenue for the present year at £2,127,000, and tho expenditure at £2,075,000, including £<A 74,000 payable as interest on the public debt. The estimates of revenue include £550,000 from cußtoins, £531,000 from land, and £445,000 from railways. The railways are yielding 3£ per cent, ou their cost of construction. The public debt amounts to £11,250,000 It is proposed during the year to raise a new loan, to bear interest at the rata of 3 per cent. The Treasurer further proposed to abolish the duty on tea, coifeo, cocoa, chocolate, oornsacks, and woolpacks, but on the other hand he announced the intention of tha Government to impose a tax of sixpence in tho pound on land and property. Mr Glyde, in concluding his speech, hinted at tho probability of an International Exhibition being held in Adelaide in about nve years' time.

Albany, August 17th. The P. and O. Co.'s steamship Bokhara, with the inward Suez mails which loft London on July 15th, arrived here yesterday afternoon.
