The'following Volunteer appointments have been made:—Taranaki Mounted Rifle Volunteers—Rev. Phelp Walsh to be hon. captain; New Zealand Torpedo Corps—James Tait to be sub-lieutenant. The Forest Rifle Volunteers and the Hamilton Rifle Volunteers have been disbanded.
