J.-Cotton's lots „have been doing steady work, as previously' reported. Titani3, Sylvanus, and Le 'Loupe,:with which trio^Mr Goodman looks formidable in the Cup, are_in "good nick, and if it were only known which would be the final selection of the stable, the chosen .one would, press Sir Modred very hard in the Cup betting. Playboy, whose best engagements are in the Novel Race and Selling 3Jace, fa also ahaping well Cotton has a numerically strong team, but interest attaches principally to his candidate for the Champagne and City; Stakes, Mameluke, which colt is* doing, admirably, and will probably do credit tobissire.KingPhilip.Carrigeenjthedark horse for the three jumping races, Bhapea very well. Maud, Ginkell, Sir William,-Jasper, Swede, and other moderates get plenty of exercise, but their doings do not excite intense interest. The Hon. G. M'Laan's I»ir, Lady Emma and Legerdemain, have been doing some good gallops, and their owner is particularly pleased at the mannor in which they have come on since their arrival at the IPorbury. Hobb'a has Mr G. Dodson's youngsters pretty forward. The Casßiyelaunus— Envy fiilly, and the cold by the same sire out of Miss King, are entered for the Champagne Stpkeg, fnd the three-year-old filly out of Cau> tanette for the Maiden Plate, Forbury Handicap, and Ely ing Handicap. The success of some of Mr Dodson'a stock at this meeting would be exceedingly well received. Most of the work is being done on the course itself, which has been open to trainers for some time, ; »nd aa it is in very good order (bis has, been a gieikt booh to them. ■» i •;. v
