Mails ciose at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject to any necessary alterations), as under: — This Day (Friday), September 24. colombobrlndisi service. Mails per Te Anau will close as under:— For United Kingdom, at 2.30 p.m. For Southland and Australian Colonies, at 2.30 p.m. For Point de Galle, India, China, and the East, Aden, Mauritius, Reunion, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean porta, and foreign countries via the United Kingdom, at 1 p.m. Registered correspondence, at 1 p.m. Book-packeta and newspapers, at 2 p.m. Money orders, at 1 p.m. Late lettere, bearing an additional single rate of postage as a late fee, can be posted until 3 p.m. The above mails will clO3e at Port Chalmers at 3.40 p.m., and at Albany street at 2.45 p.m. Late letters for mails per Te Anau may be posted in the guard's van attached to the 3.40 p.m. Port train, provided such letters are stamped with au additional single rate as a late fee. Correspondence intended to he forwarded by the above route must be specially addressed. There will be no supplementary mail for shipment at the Bluff. Letters forwarded by the above mail will be due in London on 11th November. Saturday, September 25. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per North express train, at 6 a.m. Monday, September 27. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 11.35 a.m. Late letters, guard's van. Port Chalmera train, at 12.15 p.m. Wednesday, September 29. H'or Northern ports of New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Tararua, at 1.50 p.m. Late letters, guard's van. Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. Thursday, September 30.
