HOCKEY.
On account of the wet state of the ground at Montecillo, the match, Scotch v. English, which was to have been played on Saturday was postponed, and a scratch match substituted. The fide 9 were picked by J. Mills and A. MacNtil, and a well-contested game resulted in a draw, with four goals each, got by J. Mills (2), Brodrick, and Crawford; A. MacNeil (2), limes, and Burnside. Should the >wtather prove favourable, the Scotch aud English match will come off next Saturday.
