FORBURY TRAINING NOTES.

The Jockey Club having decided to throw open the whole course to trainers three days a week, some interesting work now goes on at the Forbury, though there are as yet none but Otago b orses there. Yesterday morning all the work was done on the outside of the hurdles. Thi3 morning they were to be down, and on every alternate morning in future. Macgregor was yesterday first out with Numa and Boadicea, Blue Peter being left at home on account of having done good work the previous day. Boadicea was sent in clothing nearly four miles, and seems a powerful but not very quality-looking filly. Numa, with a rug ou, covered nearly the same distance, trying to get away all the road, and showing plenty of life. Mercer brought out Te Kooti and Tommy, but gave them a spell alter their recent work. Alick M'Kay made his first appearance with two up-country candidates—Minnie and Duntroon. The former is a big mare that looks like being useful in ordinary company, and the latter is an aged half-brother to Trump Card, being a son of Revoke, by Malton. Both were sent three miles in hoods, and they went very strongly. Smith's lot comprised Benjirco, Vampire, Swede, Dead Heat, Sir James, and Cloth of Gold, but as all of these had a gallop on Wednesday, they were restricted to a. gentle cantor. King Phillip went a mile in clothing st a smart pace. Chancellor aud York did no fast work, but Goodman's Gazelle and Frolic colts went once round fast, the latter having all i the best of it.
