THE ROSLYN ELECTION.
MR ROSS'S MEETINGS,
Mr A. H. Hosa addressed the electors of Maori Hill in the School house last night, about 50 being present; Mr Robert Church (Mayor of Mauri Hill) in the chair, j After the candidate addressed the meeting and answered several questions, it was moved by Mr Geoiige Davidson, and seconded by Mr John Bkown—" That Mr A. H. Ross is a fit and proper person to represent the electoral district in the General Assembly."—The motion was carried unanimously. Mr Ross afterwards addressed a very large number of the electors in the Linden School-house, James Kilgour, Esq. (Mayor of Roslyn) in the chair.—-After the candidate had answered several questions, a vote of confidence was passed by Mr Alexander Mollison, seconded by Mr William Farley, and carried unanimously.
Mil DRIVER AT RAVENSBOURNE,
Mr Driver svldressed the electors of Havensbourne in Jacknian'a Hall last evening, as a candidate to represent the district of Itoslyn in the General Assembly. The Mayor, Mr De Lacy, occupied the chair, and about 70 persona were present. After an address had been delivered, aud a number of questions answered by the candidate, it was moved by Mr D. Blackiu, seconded by Mr It. Bacon, and carried unanimously, " That Mr H. Driver is the most fit and proper person to represent this constituency."
